About Us
“It is enough to be a person to help someone!” — founded by Ato Biniam Belete.
Restoring dignity across Ethiopia
Mekedonia Humanitarian Association was founded by Ato Biniam Belete to care for people society too often forgets — elders, the bedridden, and those living with mental, physical, and visual disabilities.
From our home in Ayat Tsebel, Addis Ababa, we now serve through 26 branches, offering shelter, daily meals, clothing, medical care, and counseling.
Our motto guides every decision: It is enough to be a person to help someone!
What we stand for
Dignity
Every person deserves respect, shelter, and compassionate care.
Compassion
We meet people where they are — on the street, in hospital, or in need of a listening ear.
Accountability
Donors and partners deserve transparency in how gifts restore lives.
Community
26 branches unite volunteers, families, and institutions across Ethiopia.
Our Mission
To provide dignified housing, nourishment, medical care, and community for Ethiopia’s most vulnerable — so no one is left alone on the street.
